Be a Goal Setter

December 19, 2019

One of my favorite quotes is “our goals can only be reached through a vehicle of a plan, in which we must fervently believe, and upon which we must vigorously act. There is no other route to success.”- Pablo Picasso. The advantage of being a goal-setter is that you can plan out the steps needed to reach your goals. This time of the year, it’s easy to get caught in the “last-minute trap.” Everyone around you is doing last-minute shopping, planning last-minute holiday parties, and adding things to their last-minute to-do list. There is undoubtedly higher levels of stress and anxiety this time of the year but setting your goals and a game plan will get you through.

Be Proactive, Not Reactive

There are far too many people out there just waiting for good things to happen instead of going out there and making their goals a reality. It’s easy to be reactive but taking matters into your hands and being proactive takes practice. A simple way to be proactive in your business is by developing a marketing plan. Marketing creates enthusiasm, and this enthusiasm will convert shoppers into customers. Start small by reaching out to past contacts and build your plan from there. Sending a simple personalized text message to 15 past clients will get them excited about your business and ready to support you in the new year!

Let’s Make Things Happen as a Team

As business leaders, we are the group that makes things happen. It’s a privilege to be a part of a team that embraces Mondays and wakes up ready to take on the week ahead. Webster’s dictionary defines a team as “a group that comes together to achieve a common goal.” Did you know you are 60% more likely to be happy if you consistently surround yourself with like-minded people? The like-minded, determined, positive, and happy people who we embrace each and every day are what make the Pure Romance team so special. As we close out 2019 and embark on 2020, let’s strive to make great things happen as a team. Many people don’t realize how vital January is for business leaders. Remind your team that the beginning of the new year brings a fresh start and the opportunity for significant changes for their business if they put in the work now. As you grow your business, remind your team of the assets needed to grow theirs. Together, everyone can succeed.

The Push Towards 2020

With only 16 days remaining in 2019, it’s time to push yourself and your team now more than ever. I encourage you to examine your personal and team goals for the upcoming year and create a game plan to make it happen. Look inside yourself and determine how you can not only evolve and make yourself better but how can you help those in your inner circle grow as well. Get motivated, focused, and excited for the new year! I know it will be your best year yet.
