What’s on Your Bucket List?

July 28, 2020

Strolling through Paris, a safari in Africa, Disneyland, a road trip across the country, skydiving in New Zealand. All our lives, we add to a running list of things we want to try and accomplish and challenge ourselves to complete them by a certain date, age, or just before we “kick the bucket”. These things excite us and make life worthwhile. With uncertainty and social distancing, that list might be the last thing on your mind but now’s the time to dial-in and think about what you want to do in life.

The Power of Bucket Lists

When is the last time you discussed the things on your bucket list with your family or close friends? These lists are powerful because they provide visual perspective. They allow you to picture the things you want to get out into the world and accomplish. Ultimately, your actions will allow you to achieve what you’ve pictured, but visualizations start with you. Whether you refer to them as dreams, manifestations, or goals, you’ll only accomplish them by writing them down and working towards each and every day.

Live Your #BestLifeNow

Our bucket lists start early in life and grow as we get older. These dreams keep us going. If you find yourself adding on to your bucket list and not crossing things off—don’t fret. The work you’re putting in isn’t in vain. Trust that the actions you take now will lead to something bigger and better in the future. Whether your top bucket list item is to visit the birthplace of your favorite author or to stand at the top of Sugarloaf Mountain in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, make sure your actions further these goals. You can live your #lifebydesign, but it’s time to put in more work to get there.
