Happy first Tuesday of 2020! Being 7 days into the new decade and back into your weekly routine, it’s time to put the time in and grind in. In the last week, I’ve traveled to various cities and spoken to many business leaders. From these encounters, I’ve learned that instead of having many small goals for the new year, most have one major goal that they plan on conquering. Whether it’s to purchase a home, buy a new car, pay off student loan debt, or add $10,000 into savings, it became clear that our tribe is focused and shooting for the stars. Did you know, the average small business owner works approximately 60 hours a week and earns an average of $72,000 a year? Your best life is within reach and will by no means be average. As you make your own hours, and work to reach the earning potential that you desire, be mindful that you offer an opportunity that everyone needs.
You Are Needed
Everyone you come in contact with needs you. There are plenty of opportunities out there, and many people are too afraid to step out of their comfort zones and try something new. Whether it’s fear, lack of time, or simply the lack of information holding them back- it’s our job to put these opportunities in front of them and show them the possibilities. In 2019, the three most popular female-dominated fields were in nursing, teaching, and administration. The women in these professions earned just 79 cents for every dollar men earned in the same positions. What do you have that these women need? An opportunity. At Pure Romance, we believe that allowing women to be their own boss is key in gender equality. Being a female-focused company, there is no glass ceiling here. You show up to glow up and are determined to push yourself, and your tribe, beyond all limits. Not everyone is looking for an opportunity, so let’s bring it to them.
Ain’t No Mountain High Enough to Keep You from Your Goals
If you want to sell $100,000, what does that look like? Selling $100,000 a year might seem like a mountain, but when you break it down day-by-day, the goal becomes more like an anthill. By changing your mindset, simplifying your goals, and making a solid game plan, success becomes closer to the horizon. For example, selling $274 in product for 365 days sounds much more attainable than selling $100,000 a year. These small mindset changes are what drive you to hit your goals. If that mountain still looks high, conquer it with an accountability partner. The path to success does not have to be lonely. Never forget your tribe and team of sisters that are there to encourage you as you conquer your fears and reach for the stars.
Do Not Give Up
Each and every day is full of opportunity. When I wake up in the morning, I never know what the day will bring- but I do know that I will not get upset about the uncertainty. All too often, we plan our days only to have a setback that throws the day off the planned trajectory. These small changes can be uncomfortable, but to succeed, you have to get comfortable being uncomfortable. With change, uncertainty, and discomfort comes growth. If you regularly have an “I’m giving up” mentality, get rid of it today! Make it a habit to push yourself each and every day, because when the going gets tough, the tough get going.
