The Power of Choice

November 26, 2019

On November 24th, we concluded the Live Your Best Life tour in Tampa, Florida, and wow– what an excellent experience this tour was! It was fantastic being in so many different cities, connecting with my Pure Romance family and hearing what the Consultants are excited about for the decade to come. The feeling in each location was electrifying and genuinely showcased the value of this community. Thank you to every business leader who chose to come and learn how to better their business! Now that the tour is over and the holidays quickly approaching, how are you going to put the plans and goals you made for 2020 into action?

Choices

This holiday season, it is important to remember that the most important currency in the world is not money. It’s having the ability and power to make choices. Every day, we make hundreds of choices. Choosing to wake up in the morning and do all you can to make your business a success is a choice.  Think about the different decisions you make daily and how they connect to the distinctive roles you play in your life. Although the positions that might stand out to you are the ones of a mother, sister, friend, or business owner, the most critical role is the role of self. In the new decade, I challenge you to put more of an emphasis on yourself. Embrace the things that bring you happiness and energy and recognize that life is not a race; rather, it is a marathon that should be embraced and cherished. Make great choices that will set you and your business up for a substantial amount of success down the road.

Worry Less, Choose Joy

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, but also the most stressful. If you feel the stress during the holiday season, ask yourself “why?”. Is it because of the pressure to spend money? Family drama? Whatever the reason, it is a fact that stress comes from worry. Worry comes from the fear of judgment and doubt and is rooted in uncertainty. The anxiety and stress that you’re feeling is distraction from what is most important this holiday season. Instead of worry, choose joy. Take advantage of the short break from your business and use this season as a time of reflection. Look at your 2019 journey and focus on how you can make 2020 the best year yet. If you believe that you didn’t work to your fullest potential in 2019, now is the time to determine how you will change that for the decade ahead!

The Time is Now

Right now is the moment that can change your life. Be your best self every moment that you get. Make time during this holiday week to not only plan for 2020 but plan for the next ten years. What happens in the next ten years matters. Don’t race towards certainty, rather live to do your best each and every day. Worry less, welcome challenges, embrace choices, and live your best life now.

It’s funny. I sit and read this over two years into the pandemic and the message still rings true 💜
